Jose and Josie Wedding

I had a wedding shoot yesterday in Hollister, CA with Jose and Josie. The two seemed like a soft-spoken couple taking part in a pretty large wedding ceremony and reception. A typical Catholic wedding at the church followed with a large reception in downtown Hollister. I remember being amazed at how many people were in line just to get food at the reception… and even though we had already taken photos in and around the church after the ceremony, I still knew I wanted something a little more than the basic shots we had taken so far. Since so much time was set for the eating portion of the reception, I decided to take a quick look around the downtown area and saw a beautiful mural across the street. I knew we were technically done taking photos but I couldn’t resist asking them to take some photos across the street. I asked if they were up for doing something a little humorous and they seemed to enjoy the ideas I threw out at them and the next thing I knew they were having a blast taking photos in an alley downtown. The colors were amazing and I was really happy that we decided to sneak out of the reception for a bit to get those pictures… hands down it was my favorite shot of the day.
