San Francisco Bridal Shoot

It’s funny how things almost never work out as you plan them in your head, …but when you’re working with good people they tend to still go by as smoothly as ever. My buddy Jas and I, along with help from his wife Mandy, had a bridal shoot scheduled with Tritia this past Sunday. I had done some scouting weeks earlier in the city and had a pretty good idea of what I was hoping to get. But the one thing I forgot to do was check the schedule of events for the day in San Francisco. If I would’ve have done this we may have been able to plan a route to avoid running straight into the gay pride parade which was taking place that day. We parked as close as we could to our destination… but a lot of walking was still involved. Since everyone was already dressed up in some very “unique” outfits… it seemed like there weren’t too many people noticing the fact that a bride was walking around in a wedding dress… (I think they just assumed that Tritia and Mandy were a couple and had just come to watch the show). But after getting a series of shots in two locations I had to make it over to AT&T Park to shoot the Giants. This was a much larger problem than any of us had anticipated! Long story short I ended up walking a little less than two miles to make it to the ballpark. Once the game was over it was round 2 of shooting and we finished our day in a park near Market St. Once night fell we had to bring out some equipment and halfway through the shoot some security guards told us we couldn’t shoot there with any extra equipment because it was against the rules. But they were nice enough to let us keep shooting for the rest of the night since we already had our stuff set up… so thank you to them for being easy on us. When it was all said and done I think we got some pretty good pics. I can’t say enough good things about Tritia who went out of her way to spend her whole day shooting with us. She walked through a parade, dealt with traffic and was willing to do whatever it took to get the shot. I put about ten shots up on the blog… but if you’re looking to check out more of the photos make sure to check out my fan page on facebook to see the rest.
